So as most of you know, I like to have fun... to mess around... to ask my Mission President for pizza before he drives out to do our interviews.... and that my friends, is exactly what i did this past week!

To start off, let me take you back to the beginning of this week. We had zone conference in Ho on Tuesday (we had to ride in a crammed tro tro for way too long), then Wednesday and Thursday we just did a whole ton of contacting. Thursday night I sent President a text

asking him to bring pizza because he was driving out to us the next morning for interviews.... I told my companion and the two other guys in my district and they all thought it was just a stupid idea and doubted me, but president pulled through.... Somehow... He couldnt find pizza for sale that early in the morning, so instead, he bought us each a can of pizza Pringles!!
I would say that was close enough!!

The work here in Asutsuare is as slow as cold tar! but, we are trying our best! We go contacting just about all day every day
, and we mainly find a bunch of people that are super drunk, dont speak english, or are so devoted to their churches, that all they want to do is argue with us.
It is awesome!! I love using the scriptures to help people to be humble. ðŸ˜‰ ...But we are doing our best to bring people to the knowledge of Christ and His Gospel. It is amazing to see the impact it can have on peoples' lives. I may not have been able to witness it here in Asutsuare yet, but the day will come soon... I have a good feeling about it. Have a great week everyone!

Love,
Elder Williams

Well.. How is it everyone?? Sorry for the past couple weeks... The internet isnt very good where i am ... And we have to travel about an hour and a half to get to a computer that really works.... so it has been what you call an "adventure"!

I am just kidding! Life is Awesome here in Asutsuare! My new companion is Elder Eliason and he is from Peoria Arizona! We have been enjoying way too much! So the last two weeks we have been going around and trying to teach families in the township. The only problem is that probably 50 percent of the people dont speak a lick of English and out of the other 50 percent, probably 45 percent are not fluent. So most of our conversations are either through a translator, or we have to try to make due with the little Dungbe we know.... (Dungbe is only spoken in 2 towns in the world as far as i am aware, and i am in one) So we are trying.

Well... we have had a ton of adventures here so far.... and i wish i could send pictures of all of them, but the internet is too dang slow... so here are a couple......

The Church is true!

Elder Williams

(This week we didn't get an email, but he DID call and chatted on google chat earlier. He said he is in his new area and it's the "bushiest area on his mission". He said he went from the largest apartment in his mission to one of the smallest. His new companion is awesome, has been out 8 months and is from Phoenix...his name is Elder Eliason)

Everything is Bigger in Ghana

Well, Howdy everyone! I hope your weeks went well! Things have been pretty awesone here! It has been quite a week... both good and bad!
So i dont know if my video will attach or not, so i might have to save one story for next time... but this week i found out i have a mortal enemy here in Ghana... he is about 3 feet long from nose to tail, he likes to take my fruit scraps and move them from our compost pile to our front porch... and i named him "Stupid Garbage" .. he is a giant rat that has been living in one of our spare cabinents that is left on the porch. But we started our final battle this past weekend. He took my pineapple scraps and nade a giant mess right outside our door, so i made a spear and went to go hunt him down. Well... long story short, the dang rodent got away..  he won the battle, but i will win the war!

We had a really rainy day this week, and i got bored of staying inside, so i went out to go cut down some weeds. While doing this yard work, i looked over and saw a couple snails. So i grabbed them and went to go race them (just like in turbo!! But a lot slower.) on my way back to the door, i found a bunch more. I kept searching and ended up gathering about 5 lbs of snails... good eatin' i say!!

We have also had my longest experience with light out this week. 36ish hours! But it is crazy how often and for how long the lights go off now a days... we went from saturday morning at about 3 to sunday evening without and then again monday. So that means it was way too hot in our apartment, so i went camping.😂 i took my mosquito tent and one of our spare mattresses and went outside after i doused myself with mosquito repellant. Now i can say i went camping in Ghana and didnt get eaten alive by mosquitos!

Some more news from Adjei Kojo is that i will be getting transferred! This wednesday i will be moving to Asutsuare (i think that is how you spell it... yall can google it) ... My new companion will be Elder Eliason!  I think he is from Utah, but i am not 100% sure of that... let me make sure and i will add it to my email next week! This new area is just next to my second area akuse! So i am semi-familiar with the general area. I am finally leaving the city and heading to the bush! I will make sure to send pictures next week! Have a great week everyone!

Elder Williams
